Mood Disorders 

Beautiful Mind Psychiatry provides clients with professional supervised treatment. Mood Disorders vary and they can affect anyone. Children and teens may have a mood disorder but they will no have or show the same symptoms as adults as it is harder for them to express their feelings. This makes it a little harder to diagnose. 

Mood disorders can be treated with support, self care, therapy and if needed antidepressants.

Some Types of Mood Disorders 

Major Depression is a mood disorder that can cause one to loss interest in their daily routines, causes feeling of hopelessness, and often times the individual has feelings of sadness. Generally if these feelings last 2 weeks then the individual may be suffering from depression.

Bi-Polar Disorder is a mood disorder and there are two types. The individual can be suffering from depression during periods of time and then switch to elevated moods or mania.

Substance-Induced Mood Disorder is caused by drug abuse, alcohol abuse, exposure to toxins, and some medications which can cause depression.
